Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Grantee Summit Support (May 29, 2025)

Grantee Summit, on May 29, 2025 at Durham Arts Council, is DPS Foundation's annual convening for our grant recipients to celebrate the work they were able to accomplish during the school year. This will include presentations from the grantees, displays, and opportunities to mingle and have fun! Volunteer to help with space setup/decorating from 3-5pm; parking support from 4:30-5:30pm; or space breakdown and cleanup form 7:30-8:30pm.

Grant Review Committee (August/September 2025)

Be part of the team that awards grants to deserving educators, students, caregivers, and community members that have big ideas for their school communities. Volunteers score applicants using a provided rubric; typically no more than 10 total hours.

FAFSA Navigator (ongoing)

We are supporting DPS seniors and families at FAFSA Completion Events to ensure they have what they need to complete this important college-going step. Sign up to get trained and then we’ll coordinate with you to help at an upcoming event.

Crayons2Calculators (Ongoing)

Weekly on Tuesdays and Thursday from 11:30-1:30 come pack school supplies for DPS teachers and their classrooms. Want to increase your Impact? Host a school supply drive on campus for Crayons2Calculators
